Since moving upstate during the pandemic, Patty Wu and her husband have opened not one but two restaurants in Tannersville. The newest addition, Lucky Catskills, pays homage to Patty’s Taiwanese heritage.

It didn’t take long after moving to Greene County for Patty and David to embark on their next restaurant. In November 2021, they opened Tabla, a Mediterranean restaurant on Main Street Tannersville.
A year later, they began a pop-up business called The Notch, which served Asian street food at Colonial Golf Course. The business was such a hit that the couple wanted to have a more permanent presence on the Mountain Top.

“We thought it would be perfect,” Patty said.

“I wanted to do a nice range because you don’t get those flavors up here,” Patty said.
Some customer favorites include steamed dumplings and hot bowls of ramen, especially after day of skiing.
“It’s really been amazing,” Patty said. “We have locals coming, people from Woodstock, people from Hudson. One of our first weekends after being in Chronogram, someone came up from Cornwall.”
