Aaron Flach and his wife Rebecca have a deep appreciation for all the beautiful and storied buildings throughout Greene County. Though time has taken its toll on some locations, they know history is worth preserving. That’s what drives their latest passion project – developing a multi-acre Coxsackie riverfront site into an event center and hotel. The finished property will run from the end of Historic Reed Street, south along River Street to the site of a former wire factory. Aptly named The Wire Event Center, the location is expected to draw hundreds of new visitors each week, welcoming weddings, conferences, and community fundraisers.

Gillian Telling knows the impact COVID-19 has had on the working lives of those around New York. She especially knows how it has affected the Greene County community. As the owner of WorkSpace Tannersville, she provides a quiet and cozy co-working space for those who need it. Located within the heart of Tannersville at 6041 Main Street, she has opened her doors to the young and old looking to get work done away from home.

Prior to this past September, Katie Hartsough marketed her curated selection of sustainable home products on-line at KaaterskillMarket.com and around Great Northern Catskills at farmers markets and craft fairs. MaryJo Murphy sold her husband Mike’s Catskill Mountain Woodworking much the same way. But when a 3-month lease became available on a cozy storefront at the heart of the Downstreet Catskill business community, the pair chose to try their hands at traditional retail – at least for the 2020 Holiday Shopping Season.

Sandy Dylak wanted to bring cryotherapy to the mainstream market after it improved her own life. She chose the name “Catskill Cryo” before deciding on the location next to Village Pizza on Main Street in Catskill. She planned to open in April but then COVID-19 hit, along with the NYS Restrictions imposed to combat the pandemic. While waiting for the region to enter Phase 3 Re-opening, she made capital investments fine-tuned her go-to-market strategy.

When the old Bottle Shop moved into the former Central Hudson building between Main and Water Streets the term “artisanal cider” was not in everyone’s vocabulary.  Fast forward to July 2020, and the newly restored basement entrance leads to Left Bank Ciders in Catskill.
